Packaging & Care Instructions
- Smaller prints are shipped flat in no-bend envelopes.
- Larger prints (e.g. A3 Rice Paper) are rolled into sturdy tubes.
- 20” x 30” tissue paper will arrive folded for easier and more cost-effective shipping.
Flattening Tips:
Tissue and rice papers can be gently flattened using a low iron setting (no steam). Place a clean sheet over the design before ironing.
Application Tips for Decoupage
- Prepare your surface: Clean thoroughly and sand if needed.
- Trim or tear your paper: Customize the edges for a rough or clean look.
- Apply adhesive: Use a foam or paintbrush to coat your surface with decoupage medium.
- Apply the image: Press it gently into place and smooth with a brush or plastic wrap to remove air bubbles.
- Seal your work: Once dry, apply a top coat of sealer or varnish for durability.

Creative Ideas for Use
Japanese Rice Paper:
Perfect for wood, furniture, metal, ceramic, glass, art journals, and more. Tear when wet for soft, feathered edges or cut dry for precision.
Cardstock:
Great for framing, scrapbooking, greeting cards, and other sturdy decorative applications.
Tissue Paper (18 lb):
Ideal for covering larger furniture pieces. Thicker and more durable than regular gift tissue paper, yet pliable and easy to use.
Recommended Paints
- All-in-One Paints: Convenient with built-in top coat.
- Chalk & Clay-Based Paints: Always seal these before decoupaging.
Caution: Decoupage glue may reactivate paint—sealing before and after is advised.
Primers, Bonders & Sealers
- Primer/Bonder: Optional but helpful, especially on slick or porous surfaces.
- Decoupage Glue: Choose your favorite brand for a strong bond.
- Sealers:
- Marine-Grade Sealer: Best for outdoor use.
- Polyurethane: Reliable all-around sealer for both paint and paper.
- Resin: Excellent waterproof finish—ideal for coasters, trays, or wearable art.
For best results, ensure the project is completely dry before applying topcoats.
